For those of you who let your cats outside...
Let's say you've had a cat since it was born eight years ago. He is the best cat in the entire world. He sleeps with you when you are sick, and plays with you when you are better. He meets you at the door every day when you come home from work and lets you rub his belly.
He is fucking awesome.
Then he goes missing for several days. You start dropping fliers in people's mail boxes with his picture and your phone number hoping someone has seen him. The next day someone calls you and says that you must be mistaken because he is THEIR cat and they have had him for several years. You tell them otherwise since he was actually born in your house and you have vet records for him since he was six weeks old. They don't care.
WHAT DO YOU DO!?
Yes, my baby is missing and this is the type of situation I'm fearing since I let him out. :/ There are certainly other fears, but this is the one I could deal with.
