Brave
Ooh, I loved this movie! I totally have a thing for dialects and when I saw the trailer for Brave for the first time I knew I had to see it because of all the Scottish :)
Plus, strong female lead character who does not need to get the guy to be happy or fullfilled. Merida's mother is equally as strong, even if that plays out in a different way. Contrary, her father and little brothers are the ones that need taking care of.
The animation was - as with all Disney/Pixar movies - superb. The scenery was lovely, and once again reminded me that I have to visit Scotland!
Magic Mike
Yeah, strippers! And most of them pretty sexy (Why, yes, I'm shallow). I'm still no fan of Matthew McConaughey. I like neither his acting nor do I think him to be hot. Channing Tatum on the other hand: very nice!
The story around the stripping was kind of lame, with Mike dating the sister of the new stripper he picked up and the drugs side-story. I was also not quite sure what genre the movie's supposed to fit in: comedy, drama, parody, tragedy?
Total Recall
I've never seen the original of this one. And I love Colin Farrell. So I probably liked this movie more than it deserved.
What irritated me was that Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel looked almost identical in this movie. In some scenes I was confused as to which woman Farrell was interacting with -.-
I loved this train thing going through the planet's core. Cool way of travelling :) (as long as you ignore the physics involved).
