Involved Part 7

“So, who is this Jake?” she asked Hope as they walked back to Olivia’s car a little while later. “I’ve not heard you mention him before.”
For the first time in months, Olivia had an inkling she was onto something. If this Jake was connected to the Earth Defenders Group, they might be able to find a way to get to them.

“Oh, I really shouldn’t say anything Persephone, the organisation operates on the principle that each cell works independently. If one of us falls, we don’t want to take down anyone else with us.”

“But are we working on their orders? T-Bone seemed pretty wound up by what this Jake said to him,” she urged.

“T-Bone is the one who deals with Jake and the others,” Hope explained, oblivious to Olivia’s keen interest.
“I know Jake and Matthew in San Francisco, Paula in Dallas and Kevin and Sally in New York and that’s it. We don’t have a weekly newsletter or anything.” She grinned over at Olivia.

“So do we have a boss?”

“No, it’s a group thing. Jake and Matthew and some others in Frisco I think.”

Olivia couldn’t believe her luck. Finally she was getting to hear about others in the organisation.

“But I assume T-Bone doesn’t let you talk to them?” She asked. “I bet you don’t even know their names right?”

“Yes,” Hope said annoyed, “of course I do. It’s Jake Rogers and Matthew Galizia. I’m not just a letter writer Persephone. I was part of the team that fire bombed that cigarette research lab in Utah last July you know.”

“Really?” Olivia tried to sound impressed. “The one using monkeys?”

“No, they had beagles. Must have been twenty we rescued, poor little things.”

Olivia was jumping up and down inside. The agency would be thrilled with not only names, but specifics on an arson attack. Olivia didn’t know the details on this Utah thing, but it sounded big. She was thrilled to get information, but was deeply disappointed that Hope was involved in illegal acts after all. She had seemed so devoted to her cause. Obviously a little too devoted.

She had come to like the redhead over the months, even if she was a bit annoying at times. Olivia was going to regret helping to put her in jail, but it sounded like she was in far deeper than Olivia had suspected.

Not betraying her feelings had become second nature to her. At this point it was crucial to get in contact with Agent Porter, her FBI contact and pass on the information, although knowing Agent Porter, he would still want more.

“I’m just…I wanted to be able to do this, for the group you know?” Olivia said mock sadly. “I don’t want to let you all down.”

“Don’t worry Persephone, you’ve done really well getting that attorney to like you. We might be able to use that yet,” Hope said patting her hand.

Olivia was already feeling a touch guilty at deceiving Hope, but it looked like she was finally getting somewhere with this assignment.

Olivia knocked on Alex’s door at 7.30 that evening, happier than she had been that morning. As she expected, her contact at the Bureau was delighted with the names and information Hope had given away, and hopefully T-Bone would get all the information he sought while breaking into Alex’s office tonight. Olivia decided not to tell her what was going on with him. She doubted Alex would be quite as happy as her about it.

The door opened to reveal a casually clad Alex in pale blue jeans and loose navy blouse. If only her hair was a shade or two lighter she’d look just the same as in Olivia’s more naughty daydreams. Olivia wondered again whether Alex’s decision to shed her contacts over the last few days had anything to do with her. Olivia knew she was biased, but Alex in those glasses just looked incredibly sexy.
Of course, Alex without the glasses was pretty damn gorgeous. Or maybe without that blouse. The trousers could go too.

Olivia brought her wandering thoughts back into check and focussed on the lady herself.

“Hey,” Alex was saying almost shyly. Olivia wondered if she was thinking about their kiss that afternoon. She certainly was. Should she kiss her now? It was hard to tell from Alex’s body language.

“Hey there.”

“Come on in, dinner’s nearly ready.” Alex gave her a little smile that Olivia thought definitely held a hint of promise.

The house was rather dull inside. It appeared Alex hadn’t felt like stamping her personality on the place. Neutral tones abounded, and the lack of clutter made the house look like the ‘after’ photos of a “Sell Your House Now” makeover show. Clean, spacious, boring.

“Nice place,” she commented untruthfully, looking around the efficient, well equipped kitchen as Alex led the way, handing her a glass of wine as she sat on a tall stool at the counter.

“I discovered an interesting fact about myself Liv,” Alex said carefully as she began tossing the salad. “I really am not into interior design. As long as the refrigerator is stocked and I’m not tripping over my dirty laundry, I’ve realised I just can’t be bothered to decorate or remodel.”

Olivia noticed a rather sad look in her eyes as she spoke.

“This is my third placement and I just don’t have the will to redecorate again. That’s why it looks like a show home. I was looking for somewhere I could live in straight away.”

Olivia looked around. To most people, this would be an ideal house. Clearly Alex wasn’t one of those.

“It looks ok to me Alex, but then, I’m not exactly the house proud type.”

“I just…I’m sick of reinventing myself Olivia. Once would have been bad enough, but it loses its thrill eventually. Anyway,” she said, shaking herself from her melancholy, “let’s eat, and you can tell me all about everyone at the squad.”

Dinner had been wonderful. Meat for a start off - a rather tasty chicken and lentil dish - but also the pleasure of being with Alex again chatting about Elliot, Munch and Fin. Friends that Olivia herself hadn’t seen for a long time. She hadn’t realised how much she had missed being Olivia while pretending to be Persephone these past few months.

Olivia found herself telling Alex about her and Elliot’s sadly disintegrating relationship. He had been her closest friend for so long, but there had been a tension between them for a while now, a breach that both were unwilling or unable to close. She wondered how he was doing and whether he was getting on well with his new partner.

She found herself opening up to Alex about her need for some distance and how that led to her taking this assignment.

“I must admit Liv, I was pretty surprised to hear you had taken on something like this. I know how much New York and SVU means to you,” Alex commented.

“Yeah, it’s been hard,” she sighed. “But at least it looks like this case is finally going somewhere.” She had filled Alex in on the revelation that there was indeed a connection to the eco terrorists the Feds were after.

They were sitting on the couch, sipping coffee having slipped off their shoes earlier. Olivia felt more relaxed than she had in months, yet with a frisson of excitement at being in the company of this woman for whom she had been carrying a torch for so long.

“So, have you been seeing anyone Olivia?” Alex asked suddenly.

“No.” Olivia replied after a moment.

“No? No one? Not even casually?” she pressed.

“I haven’t had a date in months,” Olivia said, looking Alex in the eye. Alex had an unreadable expression on her face at that. “And there hasn’t been anyone serious in..” She tried to remember and came up blank. “Well, years.”

“I don’t even know who you *do* date Liv, I always thought you were straight. I know you’ve dated guys.” Alex said thoughtfully, running her finger down the side of her cup.

“Yeah, seems like there’s a lot of it around,” Olivia grinned. “But I’ve dated my share of girls too. Just not for a while, not openly anyway.”

Alex put down her cup and shifted closer, reaching up to slowly brush Olivia’s hair back.
“You need a haircut,” she murmured as she caressed Olivia’s head lovingly.

Olivia smiled dreamily, enjoying the feel of Alex’s fingers in her hair. “Hey, it’s my femme-y look. Do you really think there are butch Persephones?”

“Oh I don’t know, I’d have thought the eco movement was pretty broad minded. After all, they did send you after me.”

“True. Bless them,” Olivia said, feeling a little light headed.

The kiss, when it came, was gentle at first, but rapidly heated up. Olivia responded fervently, so happy to be with this amazing woman. She ran her hands over Alex’s super skinny body, a touch concerned, as always, at her pronounced slenderness but thrilled to finally touch her at last. To feel her smooth skin as she slid her hands under the blouse, and caressed her back.

However, all thoughts of a rational nature were being forced from her mind, as Alex pushed her onto her back and began to slide on top of her, still kissing and caressing the detective.

“Oh God Liv, it’s so good to touch you,” she gasped, as she kissed the dark woman’s throat, making her way down to her collarbone.

It felt right. Olivia had never felt so sure of anything in her life. This was where she was meant to be, with Alex, kissing, making love.

As Alex began to undress her, Olivia felt herself floating on a happy little cloud of contentment, which soon escalated into mounting arousal and excitement. Alex clearly knew what she was doing, and thankfully this was a large and comfortable couch.

She relished the weight of Alex’s body on top of her as the attorney slid her hands over Olivia’s body, exciting her almost to fever pitch. It was just like in those stories, their clothes just seemed to magically disappear. Well, ok, so there were a few tugs and squeezes as they hastily dispensed with trousers, shirts and finally, blissfully, undergarments.

There was no time to enjoy the sight of each other in the sexy underwear that they had both chosen with such care before the evening began, hoping for just this eventuality. This coming together had been building for so long, Alex and Olivia were feeling rather frantic to get onto the serious business of making love.

With a determination that Olivia should have guessed at from her courtroom intensity, Alex was leaving her breathless and panting in mere minutes, kissing and touching her in ways that had her writhing with pleasure. Before long, she was floating down from her intense but rather too swift climax. They had been waiting to be together for so long, it was hardly surprising that Olivia hadn’t been able to last. She wondered if Alex was equally as primed.

Time test out that theory.

She meant to take her time and savour finally being with Alex, examine that luscious body carefully, kiss every inch of her satin soft skin, arouse her gently with her caresses, prolong Alex’s pleasure until the intensity would carry them both over the edge, and then fall asleep in each others arms.

OK, so she had been so turned on after years of yearning for the gorgeous blonde, that she had climaxed in what felt like a few seconds, but Alex was bound to be the type to want to be romanced slowly. Right?

About 2 minutes later Olivia had her answer, as a flushed and rather dazed Alex lay beneath her. Olivia couldn’t keep a smug grin from her face. Yep, she still had it.

“Wow,” Alex gasped. “That was intense.”

Olivia grinned at her lover. “We’re just getting started baby,” she mock growled, before swooping in for round two.
