Apparently I'm going on long enough rides that I need to start thinking about what I eat during the ride. I was doing pretty good up until mile 25 where I started to notice I was a little hungry and thirsty. By mile 30, zombie mode with a head ache starting. Home was at mile 38 and by then I was convinced I needed fluids and was going to migraine. Some Gatorade, banana and yogurt later and I realize it's 1pm and I have eaten less then I do on days when I'm at the lab. Fortunately there was some lovely leftover lasagna that was nuked and consumed in about a minute flat. Head ache is now down to a dull roar.
Take home message: Eat something when you are on the bike for over 3 hours.
