Overall I like to think that I have generally avoided most desk related issues. No real trouble with carpal tunnel, vision is more or less stabilized, and no shoulder issues. That being said I do have occasional lower back issues and there is lots of research out there that says sitting 8+ hours a day is bad for you in all kinds of ways.

All this is to say that I've set up a standing desk at home and am converting some of the old bench space at the lab (after a coworking enthusiastically embraced the idea when I mentioned it off hand). So far a lot of minor stabilizing muscles are fatiguing.

I'll let you know how it goes.
