Why is it that some days just seem happier than others?
Today I'm grateful for sunshine, and loving parents, and a whole weekend with my husband.
I'm grateful I do not have to worry about incoming news about visas until Wednesday. This may seem counter-intuitive, but the fact that I absolutely will not know anything until the lawyer's office opens again on Wednesday is actually easier to deal with than waiting every morning to see if there's been any news. Two glorious days of 'never mind, we won't hear yet anyway' yet to go, and one behind me.
I was unwell over the weekend, so I'm pretty pleased to be feeling better.
I have plans this afternoon, just by myself plans.
All of these things are good.
Also good: new manicure. Pretty nails always lifts my mood.
Less good: time is creeping, and all sorts of things are now threatened by our delays, none of which we ever in a million years would be affected by this process. Friends are due to visit us in Cleveland in early April, and will need to change their flights soon if that is going to be a problem. Work stuff for Dan is getting crazy. It would certainly be excellent if we heard back this week, and even more excellent if that response was positive. Let us all hope and cross our fingers that is the case.
