Xilin to the rescue.
So I finally got ahold of xilin (who was sleepng, damn graveyard shift I never know when I can call and get a response or anything) and feel a bit better now.
For one, xilin had a bit more positive view of things. For one, there's supposed to be a spare, never used, should definately work, Antec power supply stashed out in the NNC HQ. Possibly inside Skadi (the notorious massive server case we were going to mod but never did).
So tomorrow I'm going to look for that first and give it a whirl. I have a somewhat more clear-cut plan of action and someone who understands the custom computer dealio better than dad (who has to work with literally hundreds of computers and so he is definately more inclined to purchase the already built, plug and chug brand of computer than spend time putting one together with l337 components).
Meanwhile, I remain bothered that my mood is so easily influenced by my belly. I mentioned tripping into ANGRYHUNGRY zone yesterday. Its possible that, despite having had breakfast and lunch, both meals were small enough to make me irritable most of the day. I mention this because I just had a deleeshous tri-tip dinner and am much more relaxed than before. (You can tell because I just used not only "deleeshous" in my post but "l337" as well.)
