So school is over! My years of college are now in the past! There are feelings of happiness, as well as sadness. EXTREMELY happy that now I can go make some money substitute teaching in Yakima and Ellensburg. Sad that the last four years have gone so quickly and I don't feel like I got to do everything that I wanted to do with friends. Now it's time to face the REAL world! Yikes!
I did great all day at school with my lil' KinderKids. No tears.... almost! They had their Christmas program and were as cute as can be... as to be expected! ;) Then parents came back to the class to get the kids and all their "stuff." It wasn't until I started taking a picture with Chad and Kendra that I started to get choked up. Then Jackson topped it off by coming over to give me a hug. I knelt down, he threw his little arms around my neck and squeezed as hard as can be and wouldn't let go for the longest time! I just wrapped my arms around him and gave him a great big hug and tears came to my eyes (maybe from lack of oxygen!) Then Chad and Christian came over too and tackled us to give me a big hug. Of course by that point there was no keeping my eyes dry and I looked up to see the two moms that I have had such a joy of getting to know starting to cry as well! Not a good sign! For those of you who don't know me very well, as soon as I see others cry... I cry! I managed to get myself all composed though much quicker than I thought I might. Gave some more hugs to my kiddos, few tears but they stayed in my eyes, and managed to get through the day without much of a melt down! I got lots of great gifts and Chad's mom gave me a nice display photo album with pictures of the kids from the past couple months. I plan on surprising the kids at lunch Monday or Tuesday next week to see them again and get a group picture of me and the kids. All in all, it was a great experience and I'm going to miss my kids more than I ever dreamed I would! (even the ones that gave me a headache on a daily basis!)
Now it's time to hit the sack! Heading to Leavenworth tomorrow for Christmas Tree Lighting!
Oh! And great job tonight Mandy at the Improv Show! It was hilarious and just being able to see you up there was worth the $3! You crack me up friend!
