I have just heard that they're making a movie of The Dark Is Rising. I took a look at some reviews and the trailer, and have decided to watch it, but to consider it an unrelated story which just happens to have the same name as the book. No heart attacks that way.

It's got Chris Eccleston in it, mind.

Let's see, I watched The Ring very early on Saturday morning; it is now Tuesday. The Gack! With the TV! scene is still making dropping off to sleep something of a trial. It's incredibly disturbing to me.

I've been up all night on a one-woman working bee (except for the small gap playing computer games), and I've done quite well, getting through the last three episodes of Fruits Basket and a live-action movie called Casshern (it doesn't have a mechanical swan that projects holograms from its head).
