Welcome to the Twilight Zone
Okay, this is just strange.
So, I had a few errands to run after work. A perscription to be filled, and I had to swing by a rep's house to pick up a couple of camera bodies for my boss. So I got home at an odd time. By some twist of fate, another woman in my building was delayed, too. On the way home she realised she was out of milk, stopped to get it. We got home at the same time. I parked in the underground, she above. I got on the elevator in the basement, she on the 1st floor, the same elevator. Twist of fate one.
We knew eachother. We were friends in high school. Not incredibly good friends, she came to my mother's funeral, the boys we dated in high school were friends, that kind of thing. Twist two.
After oh my gods, hellos:
"Do you live here?" she said.
"Yes...."
So we both live in the building. Twist three.
On the same floor. Twist four.
Next door to one another. Twist five. We had a short visit, compared unit sizes and rents, and Justin and I are invited to a turkey dinner party tomorrow night, with more high school friends. Truth is stranger than fiction, it seems.
No word on the offer yet.
