I'm back in cow town. Yay Ramona. The end of school felt pretty rushed - yet I managed to do well on my finals. I did quite well this semester, in fact - A in French, A in German, A in African Econ Development, and a B+ in Econometrics. :-) I had to say bye to people, which was hard. I especially didn't like saying bye to/breaking up with Augie. I've enjoyed some really good times with that boy, and we got closer than I had really expected. Doesn't help that my family and friends all like him so much. :-/ It was hard to pack up my apartment and leave behind my roomies. At least I know that Silver and I will always stay in touch, and I suspect we'll even live together again sometime.
My graduation was nice, except that it RAINED! It was outdoors, so everyone got soaked. The only time it rained in the last few weeks just haaaad to be the afternoon of my ceremony. But it was very exciting to look out and see my family and friends being so happy for me. We had a lovely dinner at Skates on the Bay. My grandma came early and took me to Chez Panisse on Wednesday - it was awesome.
Since being home, I've seen some of the old crew. I don't have that many friends still in San Diego. I've been chillin with my family. Saw The Da Vinci Code - as always, the book is better. And I need to seriously sort through my crap and get rid of stuff before storing it for 2 years. Packing for Cameroon is a daunting task - I want to bring as little as possible, but I don't want to forget anything either.
I've got really mixed emotions still. Sad to leave Berkeley, my friends, my life here. Excited about what's to come.
