(no subject)
So, basically, the saga of the red plaid shirt into a red plaid dress was a sad one. What with my crazy cutting and not conserving fabric, after making the entire dress, sans sleeves, I realized I wouldn't have enough material to make the sleeves, and I'm not all up on the sleeve-making business yet so I wasn't really sure how to do inserts. Anywho, basically at midnight last night I was pissed and frustrated and whatnot, so I decided to make:
a pinafore-dress! You can't tell because my hands are in the pockets, (the pockets I made!) but it's sort of a bubble skirt. I don't know, I like it, and it even looks alright without a shirt underneath, so! There's that! I think I have to take the sides in somewhat but I'm still proud. I wanted to applique a big dinosaur on the skirt because there's a seam in the front, but I didn't have time last night.
Oh and I got a haircut! Woo! And I'll probably dye it that color I did over break again.
