The time has come to say goodbye to all of season one
this last recap does come to you with a little bit of fun.

Have people noticed Stana’s eyes are a whole lot lighter brown?
Though she always rocks the bad-arse look: ‘don’t touch my mom’s case’ frown.
It’s in 1:10, and shown again in parts of twenty-four,
Her make-up’s changed, so has her hair, but not her angry jaw.
Alexis prom-based storyline gives the best of Martha yet,
Her loving hideous!’ decree only makes Rich-ard upset.
I loved the chat on self-esteem and a woman’s view of beauty,
Telling her son the way things are, as befit a mother’s duty.
The dress, the shoes they make us ‘look (so) beautiful to ourselves,’
It’s the way she talks about the truth that gives this scene some shelves,
upon which to hoist our Martha love - it is a crucial shove
to show the character’s development towards maternal love. (imho)
I loved the link between the case and the talk that happened here,
Cosmetic surgery, and self esteem and the whole thematic tier.
Will Sorenhottie came back too, with his eyes of steely grey
to throw some sprinkles to the wind so Kate would look his way.
The Island of Doctor Moreau arrived with a case that made me sing,
with references to my TV love - Sopranos and Bada Bing.
The ‘saucy’ talk of Elephant Man did sail all my lurve ships,
only to be followed by LOL when Castle pursed his LIPS.
As for all the shippy stuff, it really floats my boat.
The Chris Walken bit, the hospital, the murder board gets my vote.
That Kate’d go all ‘beautiful mind’ and Rick advises sleep,
Was second to ‘you’re extraordinary’ as the icing on the heap.
He’s gorgeous in this one, I think, though a very naughty bloke
in giving Jo Beck’s murder case a big (non-sexual) poke.
Rick can’t stop himself it seems, to kick the blister off the bunion
and peel the very core of heart from the sexy Beckett onion.
Root veg aside, I found Kate’s tale to be just very sad
about the fix, the hours spent, the therapy that she’s had.
I wonder if you found our Rick to be sexiest in town,
in all the hospital scenes we saw, and when he said ‘sit down.’ (oh)
