He wants to get back together with Beckett. She's not convinced.
(but her hair looks the best it has all season! Wouldn't you say?)
Castle doubts it would work, though,

This naturally leads to him asking her out for a drink,
an offer she refuses, because she has a date.

Castle feels like somebody threw a banana peel under his MarioKart.
Maybe there's a little more NH in her than he thinks
And he's left to stare at her leave. And to daydream about season 12 when he'll finally get himself some of that.
As per usual.
Now, I have to ask, do you think she really had a date that night or was she bluffing? She's been known to do both *g* I can't decide here. I'm leaning towards bluffing, maybe? (Do you think she calls Will that night? Logs onto castlefans.net to look at the cover art some more? Oh the possibilities...*g*)
