home items

mike and i sat for awhile at speeder and earl's on pine street this afternoon. drank coffee and worked on songs, ideas for our bands. home items practice tomorrow. its fun to be in a band, even if the translation of concepts to material often feels childish to me. i guess that's part of the concept for us, though, so hey hey hey. mike spoke of balance between proposal and disposal, and home items must definitely be in the proposal space at this point, so here you go homies. i like working with recording because disposal can often be reconfigured into a new proposal.

i've been wanting to try recording several tracks sequentially, each one independent of the others (in that i don't listen to the other track(s) while recording the next), and then mixing them together, maybe changing relative volumes, but nothing else.

here is something along those lines, recorded last night during nest material/hammer & saw practice (i wasn't there):

a 0:55 track.

now i'm trying to make white rice. i think it worked.

hooray for nm/hs/gd tonight!
