I'M A WOMAN HATER OBVSLY. IN FACT, I HATE MYSELF. Damn vaginas.

I've gotta ask this: Is it required for me to love and adore and worship and kiss the ass of every single woman character on Supernatural? And when I don't I'm a woman hating bitch that can't stand the thought of any woman getting between the great and tooby Sam & Dean love ( Read more... )

To start off with, I used to be one of those. XD As you remember by my Meg hatred. But eventually I got to like her before she, you know, got expelled.
Bela is fantastic. The Crossroads Demon is, too. Ruby (Blonde Ruby) I like so far.

But I agree 100% on Lisa. In 3x02 she's just...blah. Like a random throw-in for something to use later? I dunno something about her really bothered me and I just...hate her. She's boring.

I just think that Sam and Dean's bond is too strong for any one woman to completely break. It'd have to be a strong-ass woman to do it. And Cassie was a strong-ass woman. I dunno I may be off base there, but that's what I think.

She's so boring and useless. They could come up with a better character than that. But apparently, the only amazing, badass women on this show wind up getting killed off, and the completely awful ones get to live.

I never got the hate for Jo. I didn't love her, but I didn't necessarily hate her, either. I think this show writes some of the best female villains (Genevieve Cortese doesn't count) in almost any show. I didn't love Bela, but probably because she was always outsmarting the Winchesters. Not like it's hard to do, but still. Nicki Aycox as Meg was fucking perfection. Even Rachel Miner, who we didn't see a lot, did justice to the character, I thought.

I totally agree with you on Lisa. She really didn't do much of anything except be the yoga girl Dean wanted to have a booty call with. I'll never understand why they wanted to bring her back. Ben was adorable, but it really should have been just a one off episode. Maybe if they had written her into the storyline a little more than just a few appearances, it would have helped..? Cassie really was the person who knew what he was about and he was absolutely happy with her. In one bad episode, I grew to like her and her past with Dean ( ... )

Jo just wasn't to my taste. I didn't despise her, but she definitely didn't make me want to bust out the pom-poms for her either. I do agree on that. This show has some badass female villains. They're bad women are amazing and complex, and you love to hate them but part of you kind of wants to be just like them, too. Or at least, I do. Just because they're so smart and capable and independent, and they don't take shit from anyone.

There were so many ways they could have gone about this storyline in a better way. They completely fucked it up with bringing Lisa the Bendy Yoga Girl back into it.

Ahaha, no worries. I tend to write novel-length comments, too.
