Lightyears beyond some.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one left on earth with emotional maturity and sensibility. I DESPISE when people choose emotion over logic and don't even THINK about the flaws in their actions. Yes, I have emotions and feelings, but I know the rationality behind them, and I accept that they're not logical sometimes and I refuse to bend to their whims.
Some things that people do that bothers me:
*Double standards, especially in relationships. If you're gonna flirt with other girls, don't expect your girlfriend to never talk to boys. If you're gonna discriminate against a girl that will sleep with you before you're in a relationship after you intentionally seduce her, then you're an asshole.
*Jealousy. ESPECIALLY in relationships, but in everything else too. If you can't handle that other people think your significant other is attractive, you don't know how to take a compliment. Stop looking at everyone like an enemy that will take them away from you. If they're gonna leave, they're gonna leave, and pissing on your territory isn't gonna do a damn thing for you.
ALSO, jealousy amongst girls. Don't fucking hate a girl just cause she's pretty and all the boys like her, hate her because she's a snob or a bitch. Some girls are just gorgeous and boys flock to them.. it doesn't mean you're any less of an awesome person, or that guys will not look at you when she's around.
*Making fun of flaws that have nothing to do with why you dislike a person. Yah, she's a bitch, but do you have to say FAT bitch? What does her weight have to do with the reason she's a cunt?
*Staying in detrimental situations. He's gonna keep cheating on you and breaking your heart, and no matter how much you WANT him to change, he's not gonna, so get the fuck out and find someone better. He's going to hit you again, she's going to sleep around on you again, and they will do the same things over and over that made you want to leave in the first place when you take them back.
*Being vindictive. Yah, I've been painfully hurt before, but I can't villify the people that did it most of the time, because if I were in their shoes I wouldn't be able to handle it either. Just because someone breaks your heart doesn't mean they are Satan incarnate. You've had to break hearts before I'm sure.. so.. it just happens in this game.
I'm not saying I'm the maturity guru or anything, but sometimes I just want to grab people, shake them, and scream, WHY DON'T YOU FUCKING GET IT??? Please, for my sake and for yours, take a daily dose of logic and reason each day before you emote. There is a time and a place for everything, yah, but if you honestly take a look at the situation from a third party perspective you can probably live more at peace with yourself and the world.
