Remind Me
I have not been so infatuated with a track since Saint Etienne's "Burnt Out Car", I do believe. The "Someone Else's Mix" of Röyksopp's "Remind Me" (which is nothing new, but new to me since it's essentially the same mix as the video version, and I only discovered the video recently) is so different from the album version. The album version is fantastic but the remix has a much harder groove. Pure euphoric coolness in that track!
Both songs have lovely ethereal synths behind a driving beat, I note. And perhaps most importantly, they both have the twin tour de force of excellent chord changes and excellent lyrics. I can post the track(s) if anyone should need them (and everyone needs these tracks). ;)
In other news, I had a near perfect weekend and met some cool girls....
Every night before I go to sleep I put my nose up to my bedroom window and inhale DEEPLY because June is one of the best smells in the world.
