Working with MKV files...

OK to convert the ever so evil MKV's into a nice watchable avi that includes nicely sized subtitles that do not lurk at the very bottom of the screen on a GOOD quality video without the sound being out by a second or two, I need to do the following:

• Open the MKV file in MKVextract and extract out the subtitle stream.

I've been playing with Maya again. Today I decided to try and make a wine glass. I stared with a basic sphere and made the bowl of the glass. Then I got a cylinder and made the stem and base from that. Then I combined the two polygon shapes into one object and merged the vertices between the stem and bowl just to tidy it up. Well today I decided to play with Maya a little. The work that I did at uni didn't translate back to my computer. This could be because the version of Maya at uni is 8.5 but the one I have is 8, or it could be because it was going from Mac to PC. Anyway.
