The fall and memoires with small amounts of reading..

Is there anything else that can go wrong. I said that the other day. We figured out the floor in the basement was moldy. So we had to scrub it. In scrubbing it, we found the foundation had started to leak again and was wet and not happy about it. It seems to be moldy as well. Grr. The floor got bleached and I got numerous lectures about doing anything about it in my current state. I've had a headache for a few days now and it just kept getting worse. Some of it has been the couch and the smell from it. I hate this company and waiting. So I'm not going to say what else can go wrong.

I started reading Blood Rites. Jon loaned me the book. I'm so glad to be reading that series again. I just can't buy all I want so I'm borrowing when I can. It is once again fun to read something I have no in a while. It is like coming back to something I love yet forgot about.

The cleaning in the house has been here and there. Right now the basement will take over everything for a while. What will happen after this. I don't know. Everything has to be cleaned up. It will be a long long time, before that is all done with. Some of the other rooms have been put on hold for a while I'll get back to it, just have to deal with one major problem at a time.

I've been watching the National Park program that was on PBS. Some of it is dry and boring and other parts I do enjoy. I have been to a lot of the parks they are talking about and some are okay and some is still boring, boring, boring. Maybe if I was not just watching it to clear up the DVR for other things it would make a difference. Part of it does bring back memories of things I saw and places I have been. I have not thought much about my back pack trip through the Grand Canyon in a long time. But this last program did just that. It brought memories that I think I've just forgotten. How nice it was to just get away and forget everything else. It was a nice memory to remember at this time. I love the parks and can't wait to see more of them again. I will admit I have not seen as many of them out here in the East as I would like, but I'll have to work on that soon.

I did some baking yesterday. I made a pie. Something I have not done in ages. I miss cooking as much as I have done in the past. I just need to make the time to do it. I think more pies will be in the future for us.

I have also been enjoying the season change. It is something I forget about often that it is such a wonderful time to just look at the leaves and changes in nature. To take time to relax outside some before the weather gets to cold to enjoy it.
