My step mom gave me these 2 end tables ages ago.  The tops were pretty torn up with water stains and what not.  So, I decided to personalize them a bit and spruce them up!  The oval one I did a while ago, but I just started on the rectangle one.  It's not done, but here they are!

Since ofenjen  is the queen of crafty goodness, I found it oh so helpful to use her tutorial to make the most awesome stenciled shirt for Matt for a "just because" present.  Given the fact that he is British, I believe, by law, he has to like Monty Python.  So when I saw this, I had to make it!

I bought this fabric ages ago to make a little pillow for my kitty to lay on.  I bought some other fabric too, to make another.
I just whipped this up last night because I had the sewing machine out making my potholders for the swap.

These are a few of the presents that I'm giving this year.  They are hot plates or "trivets."  I think they're pretty darn neat-o and totally useful and awesome!  The multi-colored one is for the step-mom.  The two purple ones are for the sister-in-laws.  My step dad made the wood frame.  I got the tiles for free from work (they were throw aways)  ( Read more... )
