Her name was Susan. long black hair, elfin face. green eyes. we were both very young at the time. She was one of my first friends, and at the time one of my only friends. I loved her dearly and had my parents not been going through a divorce at the time I would have taken her passing more harshly. Really, what little I remember from back then left me numb anyways. I lost her and my best friend Tony in the same year.
Susan died of scarlet fever when she was 4. Tony slipped on the ice and was run over by the school bus.
