A Petlar Playlist
So I've been talking with some friends about making a new Petlar playlist, and everyone seems to really want one, so I woke up early this morning just to do this! lol. That was my excitement for the day. So I spanned genres here, mostly just because my music library is huge, I listen to everything, so I had a lot of stuff. There's some pop and some rock, and some that I'm really not even sure what you could call it, to be honest lol.
So I linked up all the lyrics (just click the song titles), and also wrote a sentence or two on why i feel the song is fitting for Sylar/Peter, because I kind of hate when people make playlists out of their favorite songs, not caring if the songs really have anything to do with their playlist subject.
1. Quiet - Lights
This is my favorite Petlar song ever, because I personally think every word is perfect to them. It's about being able to sit together, without fighting, without speaking, just enjoying each other's company. It was the inspiration for Peter's memory in my last fic ("Thinking About Us").
2. Contagious - Trapt
I see this from Peter's point of view. After allowing himself to become close to Sylar, he becomes addicted to him and all that he is.
3. Undisclosed Desires - Muse
Peter wants to love Sylar, despite all the terrible things he has done in his life. He wants to erase the pain that Sylar feels.
4. Scared of Lonely - Beyonce
Sylar is afraid of spending his life alone, and now that his friendship with peter is deepening, he considers that he may not have to.
5. The Hardest of Hearts - Florence and The Machine
The boys have a hard time explaining and admitting the way they feel for each other.
6. Issues - The Saturdays
This can be taken from both points of view. It's a simple tale of loving someone deeply, when you desperately don't want to.
7. Forever - Fireflight
Sylar appreciates the way that peter understands him, and begs for him to stay with him forever.
8. Too Pretty - State of Shock
I imagine this as being (7 days) after they break down the wall. It really explains itself.
9. Falling In Love - Falling Up
This is just a story of deep, passionate, desperate love, and i've always associated this song with Peter/Sylar.
10. I Wanna - All-American Rejects
We all know how badly the boys wanna touch each other!
11. Ever Fallen in Love (With Somone You Shouldn't've) - Billy Talent
The title says it all.
12. All The Same - Sick Puppies
This song is really great, regardless of which point of view you choose. It explains knowing of the other's negative past, but loving them anyway. "I dont care, no I wouldn't dare, to fix the twist in you." How perfect is that?!
13. Kiss With A Fist - Florence and The Machine
Their love doesn't have to be shown through kisses.
14. Alone In This Bed - Framing Hanley
It's a general tale of 'please come back to me', but the Petlar comes in near the middle for me, where there is a plead of 'if i could make this right'. I associate that with the way Sylar has been so desperately trying to apologize for Nathan's death.
15. Unusual You - Britney Spears
Sylar is used to being hurt by those that he loves, they never fail to leave, or die. But, Peter's unusual, because he sticks around.
