It was a dark and stormy night...
Yay, hundred mile an hour winds forecast! Buckets of rain! Yet more flooding!
Bridges closed, trees down , powerlines down. etc etc. At least this morning the river near my work was down quite a bit. It'll be back up tonight as it's been raining all afternoon.. Now that it had dropped I could see that there were several trees and lots of bits of tree stuck in the foot bridge supports. There was also this really strong smell of damp in the main stacks. Rather ominous for somewhere where there are all those books. We couldn't work out where it was coming from - didn't smell like a roof leak. Probably water welling up in the foundations underneath the floorboards. All the ground is completely sodden so I wouldn't be surprised.
