Stormy weather
It's been raining for the past few days, and it's been so windy the Forth Road Bridge has been closed to everything except cars. Forecast says it's going to get worse tonight. At lunchtime, I went for a walk down by the river. In the time I have been working there, I've never seen it so high. There's a foot bridge you can cross by, but there was no point, because the other side was all flooded, and the path was covered. There was half a tree stuck in one of the bridge supports, and the water was frothing and swirling round in a very violent fashion. I only ventured half way across - the bridge felt quite solid, but I would think it would only take another tree in the wrong place and it would be swept away.
If I lived near there, I'd be getting my sandbags out.
