I made these for my parents' party tonight. You may remember when I first saw a picture of these a few months ago and I'm very glad to have had an occasion to make them.

It's because I have to stick the toothpick into the back of the carrot that they're a little unstable. When I do it again, I think I'll cut out only the front bit of the carrot for the feet and leave most of the disk intact so they're more stable.

I haven't eaten any yet, but I expect they're nice. I though the heads look a little monkish, too!

No idea why you can't edit your comments, but that's OK! This way I'm sure to see the new bits.

I'm not creative in this way -- I saw a photo where someone else had done them and I just reproduced them. They're not difficult to copy.

They are tasty! I like them.
