Description: Casey's thoughts and adventures during episode of Reparations #12.21
A tiresome trip to New York anticipating the surprised and ecstatic faces of the squad to only be greeted by none other than Elliot and Fin. It was great seeing the guys, but she just felt so empty. She tried hard to act like a bro and as masculine as possible, which was easy with her masculine posture and husky voice. But where was the giddiness and sweet laughter of her beauty Liv. She carried on without her, hoping eventually she would be amazed by Liv's unexpected presence at any point in time. She had gone as long as initial appearance and still no sign of her. After initial appearance she just couldn't take it anymore. She rushed over to her favorite work bar and decided it was time to just drink her stress and sexual frustrations away. She ordered her usual scotch on the rocks. It tasted just the same as it always did, like she had never left New York, never got put on probation. She was back to her old life, of daydreaming about Liv, the innocence of flirting with a co-worker knowing it would probably never go anywhere. But, it just felt so good having lust reciprocated. The innocent love, just made her feel so whole. The innocent touches, glances, stares of passion. She had reassured herself so many times, that Liv was probably doing fine without her. While on the other side of the spectrum Casey was struggling without her. Three years had been way too long. It wouldn't matter so much if she had found someone to replace the innocent passion she shared with Liv. But she couldn't. No other person had satisfied her lust needs like Liv, even if they had never actually done anything with their feelings but innocent fun. She sat impatiently swirling her glass in her hand, watching the ice cubes move from side to side. If she could just have another encounter, maybe she would just act instead of glance, maybe she would make her move, instead of dream.
Suddenly, she sensed someone behind her, but this would be too typical if it was Liv. Of course it was just Elliot. How did he even know this was her favorite work bar? The only other people that knew about this bar was Elizabeth and Olivia. He probably got it from Elizabeth. She faked interest with him perfectly. Of course, of course, I'm drinking scotch because I'm upset about the case, she laughed to herself. Elliot had just put the words and thoughts into her mouth. Finally, after what felt like forever, she made up some lame excuse about needing to do so important paperwork, that she had to get back to. She let Elliot walk her back to her hotel, be didn't invite him inside. She wasn't in the mood for his kind of company anymore. As soon as she got the deadbolt latched she dialed an old familiar number. She chuckled to herself at the thought of making this a booty call. It wasn't nearly late enough for that though. Damn, voice mail. Well at least Liv hadn't of changed her number. She hung up the phone before leaving a message, and decided to take a shower. She needed to wash off the filth of the day.
Being back as ADA temporary was not all it was cracked up to be. She forgot about the long hours, hard work, bitchy boss, cranky judges, the loneliness. The only thing that honestly made it any better was getting justice for the victims, and the joy of hanging out with the squad. Munch throwing out his classic puns. Fin telling him to shut up in his mocking non-serious tone and Cragen bitching at everyone to just get back to work. All she got was Elliot and Fin!? Honestly how lame. No Warner or Huang, making her feel like she had this perp by the balls. But what hit her the most out of all of them was no Liv. No late nights at each others' offices, when no one was around. Just drinking coffee and trying to solve the case together. No trying to figure out how to get some sort of angle on this guy. Giggling together about finding the enjoyable humorous situations in the day, in a job full of gloom and violence. No Liv inviting her over to her place after a long night, because Casey lived so far from the precinct. Maybe these were clues. Why had Casey always said no to her offer. Thoughts consumed her in the shower.
She hoped out and checked her phone as she dried her hair. 1 missed call: Olivia. 1 new voice mail. 1 new text message she wrapped the towel around herself and dialed her voice-mail.
"I'm assuming this is the one and only Casey Novak, consisting I only have one Casey in my contacts. It’s Liv. If you are free now you should stop by my new apartment I texted you the address."
She hadnt notice the text message until now. She accidentally let out a girlish squeal; she didn't even know her voicebox was capable of making such a noise. She wasn't sure to text back she was coming or not, she was sure Liv was probably expecting her. She felt her stomach doing flips, and this strange rush on blood to her head and abdomen. So is this what butterflies feel like, she chuckled to herself. She felt a bit childish rummaging through her suitcase of mostly dress suits, skirts and heels. She found a sweet hunter green cocktail dress shoved in the suitcase's inner large zipper, she must have left this in her from her trip to Athens. Her three years off work weren't spent in vain, mopping about her job loss. She had spent a good part of it traveling. She sighed as she revisited old memories. She threw on the dress, and quickly did her hair and make-up going for the natural look. She was slightly jittery that Liv would think that she was trying too hard. The dress did make her look fun and classy, which she knew Liv would like. She slipped on her black heels, and put her hair up in a cute 80's style side ponytail. She hoped Liv would think she was trying to be cutesy funny and not seriously dressed like this to visit her. She took a picture of herself with her phone, to document how silly she looked. Then she text Liv the picture with the text message "i hope you are ready for our date in the sun, you place better have a patio and/or some tequila :) haha"
She decided to pick up some irises then hail a cab to Liv's. She had kind of forgotten it was just friends meeting up instead of a date, but it had been three years! And she felt like flowers were a nice touch to the cocktail vacation dress theme and a house warming gift to Liv's new apartment. Of course for all Casey knew, this was the same apartment Liv had always lived in. The sun was finally starting to set behind Casey and the it shone through the cab's back window. She could feel a calming smile grow across her face, and a warming sensation on her cheeks. She was just so excited, to see how much Liv had changed in three years. The ride didn't seem to take as long as she thought it would, she quickly got out and paid the taxi. She rechecked her phone to see another text message "i'm going to head out to the grocery quick, but i left the door unlocked. feel free to let yourself in. :)"
Casey looked at the text puzzled, what could Liv need from the grocery so close to her arriving. She opted to take the stairs and found the apartment, and quietly let herself in. Wow it just looked so homey and totally Liv's style in her. Her personality radiated throughout the whole apartment. So cozy and comforting. She searched through Liv's cabinets, to try and find a vase for the flowers. She found one that would work perfectly and had just enough time to place it on the table before suddenly she heard the door squeak open.
"So counselor find any illegal paraphernalia", Liv giggled as she opened the door. She glanced over to the irises gently placed on the dining room table.
"Awh Case you shouldn't have." Liv couldn't help but touch the flower petals of the irises on her table. "They are everything I could ever ask for and more, Thank you."
Casey was standing slightly alarmed in the kitchen frozen at how gorgeous Liv looked in her indigo cocktail dress with an iris in her hand, admiring the petals. Casey briskly walked over to Liv and grabbed her hand holding onto the iris and gently kissed Liv. Their dresses became entangled in a beautiful blend of radiant colors as the setting sun catch their dress hems just perfectly. Liv softly let the iris fall between her fingers and onto the table. They began kissing each other so passionately that Casey accidentally rammed Liv into the table knocking over the glass vase of irises. Water and glass blurred together in a sea of irises. But no distractions could keep the two off of each other. Olivia devilishly sneered and grabbed Casey's other hand leading her to the bedroom. Neither of them talking, but both were thinking why has it taken us this long to do this. Three years, had been too long for both of them.
Still standing they began with sweet pecks on the lips. Casey streamed her fingers gently through Liv's hair; it felt so fine and cool to the touch. She began passionately kissing her again, at times trailing away from her lips and placing graceful lip brushing kisses on Liv's chin and neck. She felt too good; Casey just wanted to consume her. Their kissing was so intense and lustful. Casey was fearless kissing Olivia as deep and passionately as she could. She kissed behind Liv's ear then sweetly whispered "Mi amour" Olivia took this as a signal and lied down on the bed. Casey streamed herself from bottom to top onto Liv's body, until she once again was connected at Liv's lips. Casey let her hair out of the ponytail with one swift motion of her hand and let her hair waterfall down to her shoulders and hoovering over Liv's neck. Liv webbed her fingers in Casey's hair and put loose strains behind Casey's ears. Liv giggled ever so sweetly toward her and they let the fun games of the lust recripocated begin.
