Snow!

Dec 10, 2016 11:56

Yesterday we had measurable snow for the first time in 4 years! Just an inch or two, and most of it has melted, but it was very pretty while it lasted. I took a few pics yesterday, before it all disappeared. :)

I found this large snowman, and immediately thought of my lovely new friend heyurs, who loves snowdudes and snowy weather!♥

Very nice pics. ^^ It's amazing that somebody was able to build a snowman although there was so little snow and equally amazing that there are flowers blooming in this time of the year. Also, cute pigeons!

I feel so stupid asking this, but where did you live again? *embarrassed*

Thanks! ♥ Yes, it is amazing... just enough snow to build a snowman! Seeing roses at this time of year is an awesome and amazingl thing, especially since we've had nights below freezing. Aww, the pigeons are so cute... they love when I feed them!

No worries... I forget stuff like this, too! I live in Seattle.

You have tough roses. :D

I was thinking you most live somewhere quite a bit warmer than me as we definitely don't have blooming flowers in December. I didn't know it is that warm in Seattle as Seattle isn't in the south. :o

Yes, very tough roses. :D

Seattle has a unique climate. Even though we're in the north, we get warm, moist air from the Pacific ocean, while the Cascade mountains block most of the arctic air. If the colder air does get through, it's usually clear and dry. But the areas near us (especially the mountains) is much colder, and they get lots of snow. It varies here in Seattle, but the average winter temp is in the mid-40's.
