Alright. So I wasn't going to do it. Principles, mainly. But my roommate Branden talked me into playing FFXI with him. He's a budding young black mage struggling to make his way on the streets of Vana'Diel or whatever its called, and needs someone to keep him alive.
I think I'm gonna be a chick this time.
But just a word of warning for those of you who've been thinking about giving FFXI a spin....
...make sure you have all day. SIX gigabytes of hard drive space, five installation cds, and over an hour of patches. Ultima had nothing on this. I've been looking at this screen all afternoon:
