Much as I tend to use this journal as a place to piss and moan about my life, I've got a lot to be thankful for. After running around all morning I spent the afternoon putting dirt in pots. Well, here's to the end of an old year and to new beginnings. 2005 was very up and down. There was Spain, then there was my death semester right after. Then at the very end of that listless and empty time, perhaps something new.

I want it to snow and snow until everything is covered with a thick, silent blanket and it seems like the entire world is white.

When the air gets like it is tonight -- still warm from the day, humid, close -- I can't help but sense possibility somewhere deep inside of me when I go out after twilight.
