The coffee fumes are strong this week. First Furt and now this? I am becoming convinced that season two is a grand experiment in televising fan fiction.

I still haven't actually seen the episode in its entirety like a normal person, so first off here's a copy of the recap I did based solely on the comments at the el_puckerone watch post. Originally posted here, the recap has been lovingly copied and pasted  for your reading pleasure and ease.
For adinfinitum and anyone else who's curious, this is what the episode looked like for someone who watched it through el_puckerone comments alone.

Kurt is wearing an awful hat and within the first few minutes of the episode Burt and Carole announce their engagement to Kurt and Finn; Kurt immediately eyes up Carole’s ring.

Sam does something while a song from Dirty Dancing, possible “I’ve Had The Time of My Life” plays in the background…unless Sam sings this song for some reason. Something is cheesy and I expect it had to do with the song.

Kurt explains to Finn that "that's why we feed them glitter, Finn."

Sam gets down on one knee (preview!) and officially asks Quinn out even though they’re already dating.

Kurt does something with his lip that some might find cute, but Karofsky shows up and kills the mood.

Sue appears and possibly saves Kurt from Karofsky or has a scene with her mom (this theory was disproven later).

Blaine does not happen.

Rachel does something noteworthy in a very cute outfit.

Carol Burnett happens.

Someone uses the word “huffy” or says that people don’t use that word.

Mike and Artie do something, and Mike does something exciting. A fight happens and Sam gets punched in the face. It is confusing and crazy and unexpected. I’ts probably some of the glee boys coming to Kurt’s defense. Puck possibly helped Mike and Artie up and asked Artie if he was okay. Maybe he also helps Sam?

Finn possibly feels bad that he didn’t fight.

There is not enough Puck.

Either people are dancing or someone is saying “LOOK AT ME, I'M ~DANCIN'"

Something ruins the moment, possibly Karofsky. Burt is all papa bear, possibly protecting Kurt from Karofsky. [ dontwannapanic clued me in that Finn and Kurt were about to dance, Karofsky was making fun of Kurt, Burt chased him down, then got mad at Finn. I was ~sort of right.]

The episode is currently a rollercoaster of good and suck.

There is a Finn/Santana scene and Finn thinks something is awesome. This is possibly the scene where he compliments Rachel [preview!]
Will doesn’t have a date to the wedding.

Either Carole’s pregnant or une_fille was making a joke about the rushed wedding.

Sam opens his mouth and Quinn looks hot.

Burt does something sweet and Finn smiles at Brittany.

Hot priest happens.

Schue gets into the cash bar, gets drunk, and starts singing with his hand in his pocket giving the pedo! Will Tumblr even more fuel.
Brittany and Artie are possibly dating; she at least tells Tina this.

The word FURT is used on the show.

Will does something sexy because he is clearly going steal Puck’s thunder and pick up wedding ~ladies, el_p people are getting lady boners, and Kurt is ogling.

Something amazing happens at 8:49pm that makes the whole episode worthwhile, possibly involving Finn’s voice and face.
Sam does some kind of jump and Quinn is there.

Everyone calls something and it sounds like someone gets hit, so maybe Puck sees Sam and Quinn kissing, realizes he’s not okay with it, and punches Sam in the face?

This morning I just had to know if I'd guessed wrong about the end of the episode and if it was Karofsky punching Kurt instead of Puck punching Sam. Apparently the episode does not even remotely end with someone getting punched in the face. I may wonder forever why someone wrote "NOT THE FACE NOT THE FACE!!!!!!!!!!" at 9:01pm. There was something at the end that everyone saw coming and I assume it was Kurt's announcement that he is transfering to Dalton. The thought just occured to me now, but the show could take an interesting turn if Kurt really did stay at Dalton all season. TV logic (and Glee obviousness) says that he'll be back soon, but it could actually be an interesting path to take if he stayed at the rival school for a while. If this were a later season, I could actually see the show doing that to shake things up.

I know that the Kurt and Karofsky storyline is supposed to be serious (and the scene where Dave leeeeaaaans in to intimidate Kurt was effectively creepy), but I can’t help amusing myself speculating about what Dave was planning to do with that bride and groom cake topper.

Sam certainly jumped in there to Kurt’s (and Artie’s) defense. It actually fits well with his stand-up-guy personality. Once I watch the whole episode I will probably have headcanon for why Puck stood there with his mouth hanging open. Shocked at Sam throwing down like that? Not wanting to violate his probation or whatever he's on that got him out of juvie? Feeling torn inside realizing that he was once that bully? I'll think of something.

Finally, a school official did something; I just love Sue and Kurt having scenes together so that was a bonus. Why do I like Papa Karofsky so much though? Burt/Papa K/Carole OT3 anyone? OldT3 tho.

Was Mercedes even in this episode? I don’t remember hearing about her last night or seeing her when I scanned through. I know I saw her in set pics. I only know Brittany and Tina were in it because I saw their faces quickly. I get the sense that there weren't many female-centric storylines last night. You know I love the boys, but where my ladies, Glee?

Does Santana help Finn with his tie though? I think I like…

glee characters who are not kurt or puck, pucker up noah puckerman, puck/kurt is my ~inspiration, glee by its very definition is glee, kurt elizabeth hummel, episode reactions - i have them
