my dad is in the hospital now. he's been in since the 9th. he went in for a pacemaker, which was put in on the 10th. on the 11th, he fainted after her got up with a nurse's assistance to use the bathroom. his blood pressure was going out of wack so they put him on sedatives. when they did that, his lung's stopped working at which point he needed to go on a ventilator. because they knocked him out he was also put on a feeding tube. in addition, he was hooked up to a ton of machines including machines for medicines to keep him stabilized. he was out for 8 days. then they started to take him out from under the sedatives and he was struggling and trying to get out of bed. so they put him back under sedation and brought him back out slower. this time he seemed a little confused but otherwise not too bad. then his confusion increased and they had to restrain him, tying down his chest, his arms and his legs. he continued to try to get out of the restraints and was begging my mom to take the restraints off. it was determined he had ICU psychosis and he was put on psych meds. presently, he is calm and more rational. my mom has been visiting him as often as she possibly can, but today the roads are snowy, slippery and icy. anyway, please be praying for him. thanks!
