So, thanks to Netflix, I'm finally able to watch Merlin, the BBC series. Merlin's a cutie, sure, and Arthur's not bad - no surprise that I'm slashing them like crazy.
The entire series is about as AU to all the legends I've read and heard about as Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy going to high school in Louisiana and trying out for varsity baseball, but cheez-n-rice! Are ya kiddin' me? This series has Uther acting like a blibbering idiot! It's amazing that the character can tie the laces on his shirt, and I'm supposed to believe this is the guy running Camelot? If he was the president of the US, he'd have us embroiled in World War III in his first year of office! He's immensely and incredibly stupid!
And he's played by Anthony Stewart Head. Wow. Really?
I'm kinda enjoying the entire production's creative take on period costume, culture, magic and especially hygiene, but Uther's stupidity is driving me a bit nuts.
