Can you name all of the countries in the world in 15 minutes?
Thanks to my friend Alan, I have become hooked on Sporcle, a web site which offers free (ad-supported, of course) games of the "name all of the..." variety. My favorite, hands-down, is this one, which requires you to name all 195 countries of the world in 15 minutes. I routinely get about 90% before time runs out or I give up. I can forgive myself for omitting Palau or Timor-Leste, with all due respect to the fine citizens of those countries, but what's amusing is the dead-giveaway countries I miss. I played a few minutes ago and forgot Spain. Crikey!
I'll give you a hint. Kyrgyzstan is how you spell that vowel-challenged central Asian country. I had to look it up, which is technically cheating, but I knew the name phonetically, so not really. Give it a try!
