New Year :o
Every time I update, it always starts with some kind of apology for not updating for the last few months/years, I guess it's become the pattern. So, less updates from me in future I guess :-S
So, what's happened since last entry?
1) I've finalised my industry placement, gonna be working for IBM in Hursley. I was planning to work for Lehman Brothers because they gave me an offer, but UBS called up at the last minute and said they weren't happy with me doing my placement there. Bleurgh.
2) Group project all finished. The last week (between Xmas, New Year-ish and start of term) was terrible, I ended up spending more than 12 hours a day in the labs, getting the report in on time was a big stress because all the printers broke down on the afternoon it was due in. But presentation went pretty well.
3) I spent Christmas at home but couldn't stay more than a week because of the group project and the Entrepreneurship exam. I spent New Year with guys from DoC watching the fireworks next to the London Eye, which was really nice, new year in london first time!
4) The exams last term were all pretty hard, operations research was totally mind-bogglingly bad and software engineering was really tough. Hopefully I can do well on the Entrepreneurship exam on thursday and boost up the overall mark for the autumn term exams.
5) Jinjin has become really fat :/ he just lies on the sofa all day, except when he's hassling someone for food. On the bright side, all the other cats on our street must be breathing a collective miaow of relief.
6) I brought up my dad's old classical guitar from home, bought new strings and a case. I'm having quite a lot of fun playing it in the flat, mainly cos the violin isn't very interesting when you're playing on your own and also cos I have to trek to college to play a piano (I know I live next to college...but I'm lazy like that).
7) I'm really struggling to find interesting things to say.
