I'm extra-happy that someone who belongs to old Trekkers shares with me the bad feeling about old Spock presence in the movie. I thought I was being eretic!

I saw some screencaps and nuMcCoy looks to have greyish eyes. They are not dark, anyway. I watched LOTR only once and a bit carelessly, so I hadn't linked him to his role in that movie.

Uhura=total bitch. Oh yeah, that's exactly my feeling. I so miss the real Uhura! Do you want a more modern woman? I agree, times have changed. But don't turn her personality upside down!!

Thanks for the commenting my banners. :)

PS In all this, I still feel strangely attracted to nuSpock...

Yes, but his eyes are not BLUE. >8(
(Look at the icon- There are the blue eyes I wanted! 8D)

Modern women do not have to be bitches to get what they want. They can get it a lot easier if they don't fight with everyone.

And yes, nuSpock is very attractive. It's the fact that he shows more human emotions. We're able to relate to him and empathize with him that way, because he's a person, not just a pointy-eared green-blooded computer.

I'm glad you mention the eye color issue. One reason I decided to skip the movie is that the nuKirk has the wrong color eyes. I've been told I'm an elitist Star Trek snob for being bothered by such a small detail, but my argument is that if they can't get the small details right then how can expect them to get the big details right.

Personally, I'm so tired of the way Hollywood has to reboot everything. Are there no original ideas left?

Mhmm... just yesterday I went rewatching the movie and, strangely enough, while I enjoyed the whole thing way more than the first time around, I got bugged by nuKirk's blu eyes whereas I hadn't before.

I can almost forgive them for giving McCoy the wrong pair of eyes, because the actor has the same kind of staring look and the bags under his eyes, but I don't know if I can ignore that Captain Kirk has plain blue eyes that completely change his expressions into less expressive ones. I love Chris Pine, I do, but are we sure that they couldn't cast another actor that had the same qualities, but a little darker eyes (are Shat's eyes green or brown?)?

nuKirk has not blue eyes, he hasn't a lot of our Kirk's psyhcological features, and I don't know if everything can be simply explained by his rebooted life. Spock is so emotional that I instinctively loved him (I was into Kirk in TOS, and I couldn't quite get how millions of female fans could love Spock), that means he's NOT Spock ( ... )
