Colorbars are awesome. I have become addicted to collecting colorbars as is evident on my info page. I think I have way too many, but I can't stop. I haven't actually learned how to make them. I'm also addicted to fan vids.
Life is pretty decent right now. I've finished a month of co-op. The people are great, the pay is great, the location is great, the hours are great. I don't get paid for holidays, that's not so great. But I get paid enough money that it doesn't really matter.
I bought an Apple laptop. I'm going to pick it up today. I'm pretty psyched about this. It's a 14" iBook. Everyone I've talked to pretty much says Apples are awesome, and they don't really get viruses or anything like that. I'm excited. My mom is getting my two year old laptop, so she's excited. I felt kind of guilty spending so much on a new computer two years after my parents bought me one, but I'm glad my mom gets to get her own computer.
A couple of months ago, my brother's wife got pregnant, and then shortly afterwards lost the baby and had to have a kind of abortion, because she didn't actually miscarry. We were all pretty bummed out. Last week I had a dream that my sister-in-law was pregnant and that the baby was due in November. The funny part is, the doctors told my brother and his wife that they had to wait two months before trying to get pregnant again, and that they could start trying end of January/beginning of February, which would make the baby born around November.
Also, in case whoever reads this doesn't know, I am going to Australia. Or at least, I'm pretty sure that I am. I applied through Northeastern to go study abroad at Bond University on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Chris works for the study abroad office and I guess like every gets in as long as you get your application in before the spots are filled. The classes look really awesome. It's so beautiful there too, where I am going is both the beach capital and amusement park capital of Australia. And its on the southern part of the Great Barrier Reef. Plus, it's like 85 degrees over there. Talk about awesome. More details to follow.
I can't believe a year from now I'll be getting set to graduate. Once I finish co-op I'm taking two classes July-August, 4 classes abroad in Australia, and then four more in the spring and then I'm done. I'm excited about graduating and being done with school, but I'm also not quite prepared to enter the real world.
