Another co-resident mentioned a story about how one of his neighbors in downtown LA raises cats. He had noted roughly 25-35 cats. When Mike asked the man what he did with all these cats, the man replied that he sold them to a Korean man who then ate them. He was really upset by this and was internally struggling with what to do with this information and whether he should report it to someone. I mentioned that as long as the cats were not being abused there was nothing intrinsically wrong with this. Whether a person is able to properly care for 30something cats is a different issue. I told him and Nancy that it's no different than when we eat pork, beef or chicken. Only in that instance, we know that the animals are being abused.
