Today Nancy and I got into a conversation which made me a little defensive. We were talking about the instances in which residents are pulled over by a police officer and not given a ticket. I mentioned that it was not fair and she disagreed with me stating that we are productive members of society. I challenged that a pharmacist and a janitor are also productive members of society.
Later, she related a story about how as she was growing up she would line up ten snails. She would then take hold of the front snail and lick it. "What would you do with the snail after you licked it?"
"I would put it in the back of the line, of course" she stated without missing a beat.
