home again

So I'm running away from my problems again. Yay! In other words, I decided to fly home for the long weekend. It's great being back, despite the fact that I've been sick for the past week now. I hope it's not mono or something bad, but the incompetent staff at Cowell Student Health Center sent me away with the nurse practitioner telling me in broken English to go buy some Sudafed. Thanks, I probably could have figured that out on my own. Nevertheless, I'm pretty happy to be home. The puppies picked me up from the airport and I'm happy to say they remembered me. The weather feels wintery for once, and today my mom, brother, and I took his new H3 up to Idyllwild (about a 30 minute drive up the San Jacinto Mountains) to go frolic in the snow. It's only about 6,000 feet elevation but it was 29 degrees out and a foot of snow had fallen already. Who thought I'd need to come to So Cal to see the snow? So yes, it was a good time and I'm enjoying feeling useless. Aside from that, I've been training a lot for Tispy Taxi dispatcher and I've been way too busy with my 18 units. Won't be doing that again. I registered for my spring quarter classes last week, which is a sign that the year will be coming to an end soon. I'm ready to move onto bigger and better things next year, but it's strange to think that half of my time at college is almost over...Then again, I'll probably need a fifth year to finish my major so maybe not. Whatever happens, next year will be better. There's pretty much nowhere to go from here but up.
