Here Shutting off the engine of the car, I notice it’s getting dark already. It only dawns on me now that Angel and the others had gone out to…take care of business. Obviously they’ve returned, if the sounds I most certainly did not hear coming from his room had been anything to go by. Not that I’d have barged in to ask, but I just only now realized that neither Cordelia or myself had any idea how that went. Then again, if there had been any kind of trouble, I’d like to think they’d let us know.
I pulled the keys out and reached out to open the door. Just as I was about to step out, Cordelia whispered something. Blinking, I froze on the spot as I heard her get out of the car. Cordelia Chase? Whispering? Hell must’ve frozen over. It was then that I realized what she had said. She’d been sorry. I wonder what she was sorry for though.
Sighing, I got out of the car and locked it before jogging around to meet Cordelia. Not that I didn’t trust her to make her way back to the apartment by herself, I just wanted to make sure. I had nearly lost her, and then to loose her because she tripped or some such. That would be to ridiculous for words. I held out my arm automatically, waiting for her to take it before walking to the building. “What were you sorry for this time?” I asked, after a few moments of silence.
