Much has happened at the Mansion - most of it, as Falkor reckons it, is saddening. And the luckdragon, let us be fair, does not like sadness, nor does it believe it should be allowed to go on.

In his view, this may be another attack from the Nothing, even if he is the only self-aware Fantastican about.

And keeping the Nothing at bay requires hope,

Harumi stares up at the sky, overhearing Falkor's song. It's a lovely song, puts her at ease. She may blink though.

“Is that a... dragon?”

A Falkor would be nice, but anyone is free to talk to Harumi.

Riku is on the lawn, building a snow fort, but he'll come up to join her, gazing up at the dragon in the sky.

"Yeah! It sure looks like one!" he says, grinning. "Isn't it great? and it's the Year of the Dragon, too!"

She looks at him and then The Dragon, still flying and singing.

“Yes, but is this normal?”

Poor lady is still getting used to the weirdness of this place.

"Probably: funny things happen here all the time," he says. "Sometimes people turn into animals for a little while, or the moon turns red, or someone honking a funny horn in the middle of the night.

"There's elves here, so it makes sense there'd be dragons."

Annnd, you're not calming Harumi down about this place, Riku.

"Elves? Dragons? The moon turning red? Does anything here make any sense?"

"It's pretty quiet here, most of the time, but different people and different critters show up from time to time," he says. "But it kinda makes it's own sort of sense.

"Are you new here? I'm Riku."

Harumi merely nods her head.

"Yes I am. I'm Harumi."

"Welcome to the Mansion!" he says, with a reassuring smile. "I've been here for a couple of years now, so I've seen a lot here."

"Why, yes it is," the dragon replies, a bit slowly, a bit lazily. "Is that so odd to you?"

Falkor: will never get used to people thinking he's weird.

People are so strange.

Harumi is a tad spooked at Falkor, but still talks to him.

"You speak too?"

Falkor's eyes widen, his ears twitch a bit.

"Why, of course I speak," he says. "Can't you hear me?"

He must find this hilarious, because he's laughing good-naturedly.

"I know... I've just never seen this before."

She looks closely at him, the dragon has been nothing but kind to her. "Do you like being petted?"

Falkor is still vaguely amused, as a kindly and self-confident older being is bound to be.

"Who wouldn't appreciate affection?" he asks, "only the foolish and heart-frozen, I reckon."

Harumi manages a smile, it's a small, but honest one.

"Thank you." She pets him.

"But you're welcome, of course," Falkor chimes, literally. "What is your name, little lady?"

"Harumi...Harumi Chono." She answers in her soft, gentle, absolutely threatening voice.
