Much has happened at the Mansion - most of it, as Falkor reckons it, is saddening. And the luckdragon, let us be fair, does not like sadness, nor does it believe it should be allowed to go on.
In his view, this may be another attack from the Nothing, even if he is the only self-aware Fantastican about.
And keeping the Nothing at bay requires hope, and belief.
That is why the old luckdragon is up above the Mansion, dancing and surging through the clouds, and singing. It's a cold but sunny day, and his bronze-bell-like resonates all over the grounds, echoes through the Mansion, echoes over the lake, through the forest, all the way to the bedamned cliffs where darkness lurks.
His song is full of hope, full of joy, destined to cheer up broken hearts and lost souls.
