Cele's been in kind of a ridiculously good mood since Feanor complimented his work, and he's smiling as he knocks on the door and pokes his head in. He's come to visit and see how the babies are doing. "Hello?"

She looks up, smiling patiently. "Hello! Come in," she tells him, quietly. The silence in the room is probably enough indication that the babies are sound asleep.

"Hi. I came to see how you were." He enters and glances around, taking note of the quiet. "The girls are sleeping?"

"They are," she replies, companionably. "Have a seat, would you like some tea?"

Tyelko got away from his father as soon as he could, reasonably, and is hurrying to his wife, taking the stairs in leaps and bounds, not sure if he feels fragile or just scared. He's not examining either too closely. Right now, he just wants to know that she's all right, and warn her.

Because it is a warning, there's no denying that.

A knock, just to be sure she's in. "Ireth?" There's a note of desperation in his voice that is probably unmistakable, and likely worrying. This has thrown him hard.

Having already been warned by Celebrimbor, he'll find that the door is closed and bolted. When she hears his voice, she placates herself against the wall, heart beating fast. What if -- what if he came to tell her -- but he promised -- but she can't expect to have more sway than Feanor -- but she told him she would trust him to remain -- but --

Her voice comes out very small through, and she's having trouble breathing.

"-- Melindo?"

His heart turns over at the sound of her voice, and he leans against the door, forehead to the wood. Now, at least, he can be certain that it's fear. "Ireth," he says, breathlessly, "Ireth, please, let me - I want to hold you, I need you-"

I'll never let anything come between us. He promised. Eru, he promised, and he's never been so sure that something is right in his life as being with her.

She starts crying, unhelpfully - it takes her a moment to realize that she's bolted in, but then the safeties come off hastily, violently, with sheer desperation.

And then the door's open, and part of her is half-expecting Feanor (or Curufin) to be there.

And no post is complete without a brother. Especially this one, who is practically steaming, very tense, and extremely concerned about his dearest, most darling little sister, especially because she's, as far as he's concerned, rather hampered by the defense of her two little ones. (who are still adorable, by the way.)

He doesn't bother to knock - Celegorm is back in his bad books now, and firmly - and takes a few steps into her room before stopping to actually look for her.

Fingon's like that sometimes. "Sister?"

We'll assume that if the door was ajar, it was because someone was on their way out - Celebrimbor, perhaps. At any rate, she'll just seek his embrace - his protective embrace, without words.

And then, she'll let out a terrified shudder.

His arms tighten around her, powerfully and protectively, like he'll never let go again. "Sister," he says again, low and quiet, "I'm here. You're safe. Shh, Ireth, it'll be all right."

-- "You saw him." It's not really a question, and she's shivering with tension.

It's partially out of concern and partially selfish, but when Armand is done being sick, he washes up and rinses his mouth several times and goes to see Irisse. He doesn't know who else has seen Feanor to warn her, and he's still shaken himself, very much so.

It's worse than the brothers who don't remember him. Looking into those cold gray eyes and not seeing any recognition or softening, Armand could very much understand anew why some considered Feanor a monster not much better than the evil Vala he opposed.

He knocks, one hand still clamped over his mouth as he expects to be ill again, though there's nothing left now. And he still has the issue of Jaenelle's ring. How can he tell her he was mistaken that it would help her? It would sound like the most terrible betrayal when an enemy far worse than Curufin has arrived.

Irisse's door is no longer ajar - having been warned by Celebrimbor, her husband and her brother, she's bolted herself in quite effectively. She isn't going to be caught unawares, and doesn't want to have to deal with Feanor without her brother's back up - and her husband.

When Armand knocks, she takes a moment to respond, trying to decide - but something about the way he knocked... "Who is it?"

Armand leans a bit against the wall by the door. "Tis Armand," he says through the door. He won't say 'Firyo' or 'Firyafinwe' out loud with Feanor around. Not until things are settled. "May I come in?"

There's no hesitation in the way she replies -- Armand, at least, she doesn't expect to be with Feanor, unless -- but the strain in his voice --- "A moment, please," and she unbolts her door, opening it slowly.

She's been crying, visibly, and she's shaking, but there is also resolve in her face.
