Should Tatsumi make his way to the library, he'll find a young disheveled young man crouching into an armchair, reading Dostoevsky and slowly (methodically) enjoying caramels. He's free to disturb L - the detective is probably being very 'oral' about his sweets. If you know what we mean.

After chatting a little with the girl with a overly imaginative mind, he happens upon L... and does not speak to him.

The man looks like a staving son of an owl with a weird fetish for sweets. (Tatsumi knows some people with a sweet tooth, but he has yet to see someone take such care with sweets.)

L stares at Tatsumi, then proceeds to unwrap another caramel.

It's probably quite loud.

He twitches a bit. Thats very off-putting...

"Hello." Tatsumi finally utters.

"Hello," L replies through a mouthful. He holds up one of his candies. "Butterscotch?"

Tatsumi shakes his head. "No thank you."

"Whats your name?"

[justiceis_blue]

"Ryuzaki," L replies, and shrugs. "And yourself?"

"Seiichiro Tatsumi. Most call me Tatsumi."

[justiceis_blue]

He pauses in gnawing at his nails, looks up. "Nice to meet you, Tatsumi." L doesn't offer a handshake.

It fine, he doesn't want any part of your spit anyway.

"...So what is it that you do?"

[justiceis_blue]

"This very moment? I ponder, Tatsumi-kun. Several things."

L looks up at his interlocutor, looks a bit bewildered. "And you?"

Sarcastic L is not funny to Tatsumi. Narrow eyes.

"Secretary." Also second in command and shadow controller of the Summons Department of the Ministry of Hades but shhhh.

Ah, someone with Watari's competence, is the first thought that crosses L's mind.

"An important position," he replies. "Might I ask who you were working with?"

Tatsumi straightens his glasses and decides it wouldn't be much of harm.

"I work for the Summons Department of the Ministry of Hades."

[justiceis_blue]

L doesn't really react to the information, but does reach for some sweet or other in his pockets. "That's interesting. I suppose you would be a shinigami yourself?"

"Yes. I am, there's no reason to fear me. You are already dead."
