[Introduction] The Shadow Man Cometh...
It's been a year or so since Tatsumi's fellow Shinigami and friend disappeared. Watari opened up a a portal to another realm in order to track down Kazutaka Muraki and Tsuzuki went through it, without backup, without any sort of help from the outside. It was risky, but the enemy they were facing liked more company. If things got too rough, Tsuzuki could always come back or send messages for help. They even gave him an earpiece for communication, but it quickly lost it's signal.
A year and some months pass... no arrival or messages came through. This was concerning to Tatsumi, he was the one that came up with the idea, after all. If his former partner ended up hurt or in Muraki's clutches.... he wouldn't forgive himself. So one day, on an usually hot Spring night, he ordered Watari to pull a another portal up. He was going to follow Tsuzuki's path and bring him back. No matter what.
No one but him and Watari knew about this and Tatsumi hoped for it to stay that way.
When the gauzy clouds of reality combed away to reveal clear images, Tatsumi adjusted his glasses and looked at what lie before him. A path with a thick, and tall forest that led to the lights of a large house... perhaps a mansion ahead.
This looks a bit like the human world... He checks his earpiece for any sort of signal. None.
Dammit. Tatsumi then sighs and walks the path to the mansion.
