Titus never really cared much for books, yet since his arrival at the Mansion, he's been spending more time in the Library, poring through the volumes there, particularly during periods of rough weather.
It's on an especially cold day that he discovers a shelf discreetly sequestered behind a couch, containing several volumes; it's that secretive location that makes him curious as to what they could contain.
He soon discovers these volumes are bound volumes of a periodical called
"The Pearl". The illustrations put him in mind of the crude, cheeky doodles which his classmate Dogget used to pass around the class, when Professor Bellgrove wasn't looking, only these are drawn with a much more practiced hand, and the stories that accompany them are no less cheeky, tickling his senses, making him feel warm under the collar and causing tingly sensations in discreet places of his person.
He's no stranger to the delights these stories depict, given his encounters with Iphigenia and with Echo, but he can't help wondering why someone would write such things. Thus, he's now rather wide-eyed and his brows keep furrowing or rising, while his cheeks are turning pink.
Soooo... Titus is in a somewhat embarrassing situation. If someone wants to help him make sense of this, feel free to do so. Or send someone to tease him (I have a wide definition of "tease" for this situation, from kidding him playfully, to taunting him, to making him feel even more hot and bothered). Or even flirt with him. Males as well as females welcome: I've always seen Titus as somewhat bi or bi-curious in a repressed, buttoned-up Victorian/Edwardian way (viz. the bromance between him and Muzzlehatch in the third book). Title is a jokey reference to the title of the comedy "No Sex, Please, We're British".
