[Open] She wants to be like the water

Nov 22, 2010 19:06

Guinevere has had plenty of time to recover from her emotions. She's remembered things.

She's remembered her children, the ones she has in another reality, Lleu and Goewin. She's remembered being saved from herself by Sir Kay and another nephew who claimed to have custody of her. She's had dreams.

In her dream, there is a dinner with all the ( Read more... )

Sebastian has been sitting outside, soaking up the last rays of sunlight, but he senses her presence at once and stands nimbly, his movement as graceful and fluid as it is ever so slightly unnatural. His eyes are a little overbright, but he seems well, and there is no reason not to be.

He steps inside, just taking a simple and wholly un-incubus-like pleasure in watching her embroider for several moments before he comes over and brushes a hand against her shoulder.

"My lady."

And as always when she feels the warmth of his touch, Guinevere shivers a little, not unpleasantly.

"Sebastian," she whispers, and there's something of a prayer in the way she says his name.

"Art well?"

"Yes," he says, "Always, as soon as I see you. And you, Guinevere?" Are you unmolested? But he doesn't quite ask that question. He'll find out in his own way.

He leans down, kisses her cheek, his hands absently massaging her shoulders, without even thinking about it.

"I am well," now that you're here, is the subtext. Whether there was molestation or not, at this point, is unknown to the typist.

She's happy to be kissed, to be touched, though, and leans into his hands without thinking.

"-- Sebastian --" A mild, ineffectual protest. They're in public!

He laughs, a little, affectionately, but makes himself pull his hands away and just stand close to her instead. "Guinevere," he murmurs. "There's no one else here to see, and few that would judge. And let them, if they dare." His eyes snap. "I am sick and tired of their tedious misunderstandings."

Sebastian will cut a bitch. In half.

Guinevere shivers a little. "-- but, love---" and her voice drops to a quiet whisper, "if truth be told, I have been wed to another, though my heart is yours now."

You may well cut a bitch soon, Sebastian.

Mal is also interested in cutting such bitches - shall we try to work something out in chat when we're all around?

Sebastian shakes his head, slightly. "I don't care," he murmurs. "I don't - whatever happened - it doesn't matter, it shouldn't matter. People need to figure that out." His anger makes him tremble, just briefly, pulling his hands away so his fists can clench, nails biting into his palms.

"Because you were married before - you must forego all happiness for the rest of time, is that what they want?"

Yeah, sure!

"I, I know not," she murmurs, and looks down, feeling so very full of angst and guilt and at the same time not really regretting because it's been so long and everyone was leaving her to despair, save Sebastian.

"-- I suppose it is," she finally says, after some internal struggle.

I'm probably just going to post to OOC about it, because it looks like none of us is in chat at the same time... and I probably won't have time for real-time RP for a bit. Also, I miss you. <3

"Then they are fools," he says, passionately. "Would they expect the same of themselves? I doubt it. And they should not expect if of you. You should have the chance at happiness, and if they truly serve you that should come first."

He has enough anger, righteously, for both of them, no doubt.

Guinevere's voice is quiet, so very quiet. "They do not serve me, Sebastian," she says softly. "But the husband whom I have not seen in so many a moon that I do not remember him."

He snorts. "Then you should be none of their concern. He isn't here, is he? And how are they serving him by making you unhappy?" He tosses his head a little, an impatient gesture. "I swear, the next one of them I see, I shall-"

"Please, Sebastian ---" she reaches to touch his hand, if she can, to take it. To try and calm him.

He takes a deep breath, tries to focus on her.

"Yes?" His voice is taut, and snaps a bit. But he's listening, or trying to. Even if his breath is rapid and his eyes a little too green.

"Sit with me," she says softly. "Hold me."

Another deep breath, and he comes around the couch, because he doesn't want anything of himself to leak out and affect her, and it well might, in this mood. So he sits, carefully, and slides his arms around her with all gentleness.

"I'm here."

Despite the fact that this is public and therefore could be problematic, Guinevere sings in his embrace and leans her head against his shoulder.

"As I am," she murmurs. "Pray not let yourself get so angry, love. There is already so little to find joy by..."
