The geostigma had gone at last and the weakness he'd felt for some time in his body had finally disappeared, leaving Rufus Shinra feeling again like the healthy, confident young man in his twenties he'd been before that horrible disease had infected him

There's a rebel at the Mansion. He's not much of an ecologist, but he might have been, if it had been an ideology he was exposed to.

Johnny hasn't spotted Rufus yet, but we predict that he'll be rather inclined to minimal distrust, once he does.

Rufus had been briefed by Reno about the basics of this new place. He wasn't exactly happy about the situation but there didn't seem to be much he could do about it at the moment.

He now walks into the main room, shotgun still in hand and looking as if he expected everyone there to sit up and pay instant attention to him - he was used to being in charge, after all.

Johnny now spots Rufus - and doesn't like what he sees.

He makes a show of putting his feet on the coffee table, and obstensibly lights a cigarette.

Authority? What authority?

Rufus sends him a look. "Unless this is your private room you should treat things with more respect."

[johnny_rockfort]

"Unless this is your house, you should mind your own business," he drawls, wryly.

Cue another long puff of his cigarette.

Rufus thinks briefly about how he's going to keep these rebellious people in line in the future... It will have to be done. People should have more respect.

He gives the cigarette a distasteful look. "Those things ruin the planet, you know."

Johnny rolls his eyes, takes another long smoke of his cigarette.

"Buzz off," he drawls. "It's already fucked up anyway."

He shrugs. Unimpressed Johnny is unimpressed.

"With that attitude you should be careful. These things have a way of getting back to you," Rufus says seriously but he does start to turn away as he really doesn't care for the stranger.

Johnny smirks. "What'cha gonna do, pup? Hiss at me?"

He doesn't care. He already died once, so he figures it can't be worse.

He looks distastefully over his shoulder. "You are very disrespectful. I should teach you a lesson."

[johnny_rockfort]

"Oh yeah? What are you gonna do? Use magic shit on me? Coward."

[shinraco]

"You dare to call me a coward?" Rufus's jaw sets in annoyance.

"Do you know a man named Reno?"

Johnny looks amused. "Ah, I see. You're going to BRAVELY order your henchman to beat me up?"

[shinraco]

"That's how things work in my world," Rufus says coolly. "He is my employee and he will do anything I tell him to do. He would protect me with his life."

[johnny_rockfort]

Johnny snorts. "In YOUR world," he points out. "Which this ain't. In fact, it's nobody's world."

He stands, his eyes are full of dislike. "I bet you're a fucking wimp, not even able to fight your own battles like a man."

Yes, Johnny likes to be provocative. We never claimed he was a wise guy.

Rufus looks Johnny over as if he thought he was rather insignificant and really not worth bothering with too much.

"I can fight if I have to but I choose not to."
