[Open] who's the woman for whom we all kill?

Mar 08, 2010 13:51

He's been a recluse, Tristan. He managed to escape the blizzard. He managed to survive, hiding in one of those caves away from the Mansion1. He hunted, he lived alone in the woods for a while, visiting very occasionally the Merlin's hut - mostly to warm himself by the receding flames of the fire2. He's studiously avoided any contact - Tristan feels ( Read more... )

Only if there are time slots still available, LOL. They can talk about being heartbroken and get (manly) drunk together, or something.

Since Adrian decided to take a stroll outside the Mansion -- profiting of the favourable time of the day when the dwindling light makes it possible for his kind to stay outside -- he might as well meet Tristan somewhere on the road.

Tristan is more than likely on his way to shelter - there are dark things lurking in the woods that warrant care, even for one of the three best knights of the Round Table.

When he spots the fellow, the knight nods politely.

He's dressed in medieval garb, in leather and not metal, with a trusty bow and a broad sword, high in it's scabbard, swinging at his back.

Timeslots are ALWAYS available - open posts are, well... open. Er. >.> Anyway, no worries. Will be slowpoke-tagging as you know, but otherwise, it's lovely to have Ad and you here. &hearts &hearts &hearts

Adrian walks slower, then stops at a polite distance from the fellow he doesn't know. Yet. Oh yay. Another medieval guy, by his attire. As Adaon occurred, Adrian isn't taken aback by Tristan.

"Um." The beginning is hesitating, but not very. "Lo."

He heard that's a medieval form of addressing people. Smartass.

[The pleasure is mine! ♥]

Either a medieval guy, as Adrian puts it, or a LARPer. And in fact, this one's a knight! But he doesn't quite look like the stereotypical knight, unless you count the longsword as a tell-tale.

"Good Morrow," he replies politely. "T'is nigh dark," he observes.

"Yes. Um. Had a good hunt?"

He gestures to the fowls.

"Aye, though they gave me a run for it," he replies with a wide grin. "Game is scarce, these days, and come spring, hunting will be almost unreasonable."

"I see." Adrian starts looking for a cigarette in his pockets. "But why do you have to hunt around her? Can't you just go to the Mansion and ask that Mojo-Jojo cupboard to give you food?"

--- "I beg your pardon?"

He has no idea what Adrian is talking about.

Was about time someone brought it up! XD

Glad to break the news, Tristan.

"There's a cupboard. In the kitchen." Adrian speaks slower than usual, deducing the guy might not get /everything/ he's saying. "It gives you food."

Well, that's the simplified version.

It might also give you pompoms if you ask nicely.

"... Witchery," he replies. "I will have none of it."

Tristan's not particularly trusting of magic cupboards. Then again, considering the magic wine he had, he can't be blamed.

Shhh. Isolde will be arriving. And what then. What then?

Adrian shrugs. "Suit yourself. If you'd rather chasing animals around, be my guest. By the way -- where do you live?"

Then many emotions will be had!

"T'is unwell to ask one their dwelling before their name, is it not?"

"Actually, you're right. I'm forgetting my manners." He waits a bit, then extends his hand. "I'm Adrian."

Tristan stares at the hand a moment, hesitates - he's not sure what to do with it. "-- Sir Tristan de Lyonnesse," he offers after a moment, and he bows, then takes the hand.

"God. You're killing me with the nobility titles," chuckles Adrian and shakes his hand.

"It's just a coincidence, right? You don't happen to have lived in Cornwall -- and been in a legendary romance with someone called Isolde?"

"I know of no such thing," he replies. "And am only a marksman, hunting to feed the weak."

He won't comprise his lady's hoooonoooooor, okay?
